‘Eclosió, escenes del debut operístic de Ros-Marbà brings us closer to Antoni Ros-Marbà, one of the most prominent figures in Catalan music, with a spectacular career as both a conductor and a composer. Now, at 89 years old, he takes up the baton once again to lead the Gran Teatre del Liceu Orchestra in the premiere of his first operatic composition, ‘Benjamin a Portbou’.
Through this documentary, we explore the trajectory of this exceptional musician, witness the various tasks involved in staging an opera, and delve into the life of Walter Benjamin—one of the most important thinkers of the 20th century, to whom Ros-Marbà dedicates his operatic debut.
